Things have definitely picked up speed. School is here, and I barely have any time to breathe! I enjoy being busy, and having deadlines.. for now. We'll see how I feel in a couple weeks.

I started my volunteer keeper job this morning, and I love it! It's a ton of fun working with those cute ferrets, and also working with an ASU student with the same major as I. I can tell it's going to be a nice break away from schoolwork, even if mondays are going to be my craziest day.

Everything else is going well. Nothing to complain about. I can't wait for this wedding to be over!! 8 weeks to go! HURRAY!!

Rain turned out to be a horrible thing last night. Since my parents are gone, I had to watch Bailey last night.. and he hates thunderstorms. He kept me up almost all night, having a panic attack. It's suppose to rain again tonight.. Joy.

I volunteered this morning for 4 hours. It was humid, but fun. Received some more exciting news. :)

I took a wonderful 3 hour nap today. Can you even call that a nap? Haha.. It was well needed.

Now I'm relaxing and watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. A good ending to a hectic day.

School's on it's Way

Things have been going great lately. My parents are on their way to Sacramento this weekend for my older sister's installation, and it will be nice to have a quiet house the weekend before school starts. It's hard to believe that summer is over, and starting on Monday, I will have to get back to the busy schedule of classes. I have to admit, it's been a pretty terrible summer. Not working, and just sitting around all day may sound like joy to some, but I've been going insane. I am definitely looking forward to being busy and not having much time to slack off. Of course, I'll probably regret saying that in a couple weeks. :)

Everything else is going well. Rain maybe this weekend.. which would be absolutely wonderful. This monsoon season has been absolutely terrible this year, and if we don't get rain this weekend, it might never happen. I'm doing my rain dance, so we'll see if that does the trick!

Off to take my mom to the airport!

New Blog, With A New Name

Well, since my last name is going to be changing in a mere two months, I figured it was time that I make a new blog, not only for that reason, but because this is a new chapter in my life. Getting married is a huge experience in everyone's life, and although I am so excited to be a loving wife, I am ready for this wedding to be over. The planning has been extremely fun and exciting, but there comes a time, (at least I think) in every bride's mind, when enough is enough. We booked our wedding venue one year ago. First of all, I can't believe how fast a year has flown by. And second, a year is a very long time to plan a wedding. When you're constantly thinking about what still needs to be done, when you need to schedule your next appointment, and always thinking two months ahead of the game, it gets to you. It has been an amazing journey, but in two months, I can get back to my relaxed way of life!

Everything aside from the wedding is going amazing! Chris is finally comfortable with his new Assistant Manager position at work, and although most of the time he's tired or behind on sleep, he never seems to complain. I love that about him. He must be the most optimistic person I've ever met in my life. Even though he's working 46 hours a week, he still manages to smile and make the best of things. Honestly, how lucky can one girl get?

I'm still volunteering at the zoo, and it seems that my 5 months of hard dedication has already paid off. I got a Volunteer Assistant Keeper position at the zoo, which is huge! The time period between volunteering in an exhibit, and becoming an assistant keeper is usually around a year, and yet here I am with that opportunity already. I am so blessed! I also have some exciting news that I will be able to share at the end of October (no, it's not about the wedding)..

I honestly have no real complaints about life right now. Everything is on track, and moving at a good pace. I don't feel overwhelmed, scared about the future, or even uncertain about what is to come. God has blessed Chris and I as a couple time and time again, and I know He will continue to have his hands on our relationship! God will be our focus as a couple, and I know that through Him, Chris and I can enjoy our long life together.
